Florence's

Lowcountry Kitchen

About us

Florence’s Lowcountry Kitchen is a tribute to Florence Moseley, the Great Grandmother of Jonathan and Patrick Kish of Queen Street Hospitality Group. Florence was born in 1908 in Charleston. She worked at The American Tobacco Company’s Cigar Factory, where she met and married the plant manager, Jesse Powell. They enjoyed their life in the Lowcountry - crabbing, fishing, visiting the Limehouse Farmers Market, and creating delicious home-cooked southern meals. Florence and Jesse’s favorite dishes to cook were Crab, Shrimp, Fish, and Fried Chicken & Waffles. Every holiday, Florence would make her famous Granny's Rum Punch. They passed their recipes down to their granddaughter, Tyler, who married Steve Kish, founder of Queen Street Hospitality Group.
